Original study cited by oversea scholars, establishing leading position in endophyte studies.

Researches on endophytes and their metabolites continued being a hot topic. The innovation in techniques in China attracted many oversea scholar’s attentions. Recently, Dr. Mila Santos’s group from University of Almería published a paper entitled “Paecilomyces variotii as a Plant-Growth Promoter in Horticulture”, which cited the technique from China.

Dr. Mila Santos’s group stated that there was little research done on studying Paecilomyces variotii as a growth promoter. P. variotii isolate can produce siderophores and IAA, and can be used as a biostimulant in plant growth by establishing in root systems. Scientists in China studied the metabolites of P. variotii, and found they have high activity, and can promote plant growth by inducing the production of auxin at an extremely low concentration.

Besides, Dr. Mila Santos’s group found that CDG33 can promote tomato seed germination and can enhance tomato growth in both seedling and plants. She agrees with researches on the effects of P. variotii extracts on cherry radish published by Chinese scholars, and also believes that these extracts have high activity, low cost and great application potential.
