Plant endophytic fungi extract immune inducer—ZNC surprised the industry insiders.

July 4, the second National Chemical Industry Innovation Symposium was held in Guiyang.

Dr. Xihua Ding, a professor from Shandong Agricultural University, gave a presentation entitled “The development and application potential of the ultrahigh activity endophytic fungi extracts-ZNC”. In his report, he thoroughly introduced ZNC， the ultrahigh activity immune inducer originated from natural ecosystem innovated by Shandong Pengbo Biotech. He mentioned that ZNC can trigger salicylic acid (SA) signaling pathway, activate plant immune system and promote plant disease resistance. It showed significant resistance against rice bacterial blight, rice bacterial leaf streak, potato late blight, cucumber powdery mildew and tobacco virus diseases. Researches on its anti-bacterial and anti-fungi mechanisms found that ZNC can induce SA biosynthesis, the expression of WRKY18 and WRKY70 enhanced the expression of defense-related PR1 and increased plant resistance. Researches on its anti-viral mechanism found that ZNC can enhance plant virus resistance by promoting RNA silencing. He emphasized that the ultrahigh activity of this immune inducer is amazing, and it is the known highest activity functional substance within the country. A great amount of experiments showed that the crude extract can show ultrahigh activity at 1-10 ng/ ml. Its activity is 10 times of brassinolide, 10,000 times of humic acid and fulvic acid, 100,000 times of alginic acid, and 10,000,000 times of PGA.

    As a brand new immune inducer, the first appearance of ZNC attracted many scholar and specialists attentions at the meeting.
